Agreement to Terms
By booking an appointment with SlayedbySarah, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all terms and conditions outlined on this page. It is the client's responsibility to read all information provided. Booking an appointment constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Booking & Payment
- A non-refundable, non-transferable retainer fee (deposit) is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment
- The retainer is deducted from your final service balance
- The remaining balance is due in cash only on the day of your appointment
- We do not accept Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal for final payment
SlayedbySarah does not offer refunds or price adjustments under any circumstances. All retainer fees are final.
Rescheduling
- You must reschedule at least 72 hours before your appointment
- Rescheduling must be done using the link in your confirmation email
- One reschedule is allowed within 30 days of the original date, or to the next available month's calendar
- Rescheduling availability is not guaranteed
- If you are unable to reschedule within the allowed timeframe, your deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to rebook
Cancellations
- All cancellations must be made by replying to your confirmation email. Cancellations made by phone, text, DM, or any other method are not accepted.
- Any cancellation, at any point after booking, results in full forfeiture of your retainer/deposit, regardless of how far in advance it is made. The retainer/deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Same-day cancellations. Any cancellation made on the day of your appointment, or less than 24 hours before your scheduled start time, is treated as a no-show. In addition to the forfeited deposit, the remaining service balance (your service price plus any selected add-ons, minus the deposit already paid) will be charged to the card on file, and the No-Show Policy below applies in full.
Late Arrival Policy
- Please arrive on time. A 15-minute grace period is provided.
- Arriving more than 15 minutes late, or notifying Sarah that you will arrive more than 15 minutes late, is treated as a no-show and all no-show consequences below apply.
- Sarah may, at her sole discretion, choose to accommodate a late arrival. Any such accommodation is a one-time courtesy, may carry conditions (such as a firm arrival deadline or prepayment), and does not waive any fee already charged unless Sarah confirms that in writing.
Getting to the Studio
- The exact studio address and directions are provided in your booking confirmation email, your reminder messages, and on the confirmation page immediately after booking. Please review them and plan your route in advance.
- Travel time, traffic, weather, ride availability, and difficulty locating the studio are the client's responsibility and do not excuse a late arrival or a missed appointment.
No-Show Policy
- A no-show is any appointment where the client does not arrive within the 15-minute grace period, cancels on the day of the appointment or less than 24 hours before it, or notifies Sarah they will arrive more than 15 minutes late.
- No-shows forfeit the deposit and are charged the remaining service balance to the card on file.
- No-show clients are not eligible for future bookings.
- Sarah may, at her sole discretion, charge less than the full remaining balance or permit a future booking. Doing so is a courtesy and does not waive or modify this policy.
Card on File Authorization
By completing checkout, you authorize SlayedbySarah to securely keep your credit or debit card on file and to charge it, without further authorization, for:
- No-show fees and same-day or late cancellation fees, as defined in the Cancellation, Late Arrival, and No-Show policies above (the remaining service balance)
- Any additional services or add-ons you request during your appointment
This authorization remains in effect until you request its cancellation in writing.
Hair Drop-Off
- If your service requires you to provide your own hair, it must be dropped off before your appointment date
- Drop-off hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
- Custom color work requires a minimum 4–7 day advance drop-off
- Lace units must be transparent/HD lace only — no Swiss lace, synthetic, or Amazon-sourced hair
Microlinks & Tape-In Services
A consultation and approval from SlayedbySarah is required prior to booking any microlink or tape-in service. Failure to consult before booking will result in automatic cancellation of your appointment. The retainer fee is non-refundable in this case.
Liability Waiver & Disclaimer
By booking an appointment, you agree to the following:
- SlayedbySarah is not responsible for any damage to your hair or extensions after you leave the salon chair
- Aftercare instructions will be provided at your appointment — following them is your responsibility
- Please consult with SlayedbySarah before attempting to remove any installation
- You waive the right to seek legal action against SlayedbySarah and its respective service providers for illness, injuries, or damages arising from the services received
- It is the client's responsibility to inform SlayedbySarah of any allergies prior to the appointment
Media Release
By booking an appointment, you grant SlayedbySarah and its team the irrevocable right and permission to photograph, film, and record you and your service, and to use the resulting photos, video, and audio for any lawful business purpose.
- Permitted uses include marketing, advertising, social media, websites, portfolios, promotional materials, and paid ads, in any media now known or later developed
- You acknowledge that this content may be edited, cropped, or combined with other material, and may remain in use indefinitely
- You agree that all such photos, video, and recordings are the sole property of SlayedbySarah, and that you are entitled to no compensation, royalty, or approval right for their capture or use
- You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials before they are used
Prefer not to be filmed or photographed? Simply let Sarah know before your appointment and we will honor your request.
Communication & Consent
- By providing your phone number and email at booking, you consent to receive appointment confirmations, reminders, promotional offers, and other communications from SlayedbySarah via SMS and email
- You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, or unsubscribe from emails via the link in any message
- Appointment reminders are sent 24 hours and 2 hours before your scheduled time
- Opting out of promotional communications does not affect transactional messages related to your appointment
